Many people think they have them for Mating reasons

Possibly the females are more attracted to males with more stripes or thicker stripes. But that's not why they have stripes!

Others think for hiding from predators

Or maybe, the predators like lions or cheetahs can't see the stripes on the tall grass or from a distance. But that's not right either!

But the real reason is for warning away blood-sucking animals

Like mosquitoes. They don't like to land on the colors black or white.

The Malaysian flight 370 is still missing

The robotic submarine searching for the flight aborted its first mission with no response when it exceeded its maximum depth limit of 15,000 feet, which is too short for the 3-D scan of the ocean floor. We are on day 40 of the search.

This is the sub, the Bluefin 21.

They celebrated the 20th anniversary
