My synthesis
I researched pearl harbor for my inquiry project. The two sides were us the USA and the Japanese. The day before the attack of Pearl Harbor the Japanese came to ask to do business with us again. Our president said no and the day after, December 7th, 1941 the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. The Japanese had made a suprise attack. The Japanese sent in bombs, fighter jets, and torpedo planes. Japanese sent 183 planes in the first wave.

My synthesis pg.2
The attack lasted 2 full hours. The Japanese goal was to destroy the ships on battleship row, the airplanes on the naval base, wheeler field, and nearby hickory field. The day after the bombings the president declared war on Japan and that lead us into world war II. The Japanese in the USA were shamed and lost their legal rights. Japan took over the Philippines, British Malaya, and the Dutch Islands.
