Many people waste water even when they don’t realize it. These are a few ways to help save water.

Watering gardens

Gardens and lawns are great to have but take a lot of water. There are many ways to help this problem. Watering deeply instead of frequently helps. Avoid watering when it’s windy, and checking the moisture to tell how much water is actually needed will also help save water.

Washing cars

Washing cars can take tons of water. Research has shown that even by accidentally leaving the hose on, you can waste more than 150 gallons of water. One way to prevent this is to youse a bucket and a sponge, it will save water as well as give you good exercise.

Showers

Showering up to 5 minutes or more can waste about 5 to 10 gallons! Every minute causes water wastage. Using a low flow shower head or just using a bucket and a pail can help minimize this problem. Or even just bathe, to help save water.

Leaving the water running

Many people waste water by accidentally leaving the water running. They leave it running while brushing your teeth, shaving, and even doing the dishes. Turning off as soon as you start and finish will help deplete water wastage.
