The Harappan civilization grew up around the Indus river. Its named after the city called Harappa, Pakistan. Archaeologists believe the Harappan was most popular around 2600 and 1700 BC. The houses were made of mud from the river floods. They had a public well. They used irrigation and made a lot of food. Most houses had indoor plumbing. They had seals that they stamped and showed it was their product. they developed India's first writing system. They traded with other cities because their stamps were found in Mesopotamia. We don't know much because we have not figured out the writing.
