Neon glows bright red when electricity goes through it. Helium makes your voice sound funny if you inhale it.
Helium is also used to inflate the tires of large aircraft.

In the real world

  • They put helium in airplane tires because it is not very heavy.
  • They use helium in hot air balloons to lift them off the ground.
  • They mix helium with oxygen in SCUBA tanks to dilute it so you can dive longer.
