PRESENTATION OUTLINE
DOES MUSIC HAVE AN AFFECT ON YOUR MOODS?
Some people think that music doesn’t have an effect on their moods but it actually does, because many songs or tunes can help the brain recall memories with strong emotions tied to it, it can also help motivate one to get something accomplished, and it releases dopamine which makes someone happy.
”Those opening notes over the title credits are part of what makes Star Wars more than a movie, and those two ominous bass notes from the Jaws theme are enough to make anyone think twice about swimming in the ocean” (Beckerman and Gray 7).
”Many people intuitively turn to music to help them feel better or to help them run faster or even lift heavier weights” (Margulis 26).
”For example, music may lead to the release
of dopamine, a feel-good neurotransmitter” (Herrero et. Al).
”The effects of living with musical anhedonia vary based on the person, most don't miss what they have never experienced but feel the absence of social connection in a world so focused on music” (Salazar).
