SPECIAL EFFECTS

  • Definition: special effects and pyrotechnics staff a responsible for the special effects and pyrotechnics that are involved in theater, such as smoke, fire, etc.

  • Things may involve smoke, fireworks, toxic substances, explosions, fire and more.
  • May include dangerous tools, machinery, welding equipment and power tools.
  • Professionals often design, make, and operate the equipment.
  • Usually have a great amount of experience in electronics, construction, and pyrotechnics.
  • Includes tests for the effects, coaching the actors on the dangers and uses, and design plans for the use of the effects in production.

  • Definition: make-up artists apply the make-up and style hair for performers and presenters. Their work is seen on stage, and on screen.

  • They need to read the script and know it well.
  • They need to talk and collaborate with the director.
  • They need to do a lot of research for their makeup looks
  • They must know how to use their tools, have prior experience in the field
  • They need to work well with the actors, and know the limits when it comes to the application of the makeup.

  • Definition: They create the look of each character and accessories the actors will wear in performance

  • It is their Job to draw up the costume plot
  • They also must have a basic knowledge of history, if not, then they must do extensive research.
  • They collaborate with the director and sound and light designers.
  • When the show opens, that's when their job is complete.
