Site of the Maya civilization.
It Was a capital city.
It isn’t far from the border.

Lancetilla
It is a Botanical garden.
2nd largest botanical garden in the world. They have exotic trees from all over the world.

THE SWAN ISLANDS

  • They are a chain of three islands.
  • Their department is Bay Islands.
  • United States and Honduras claimed them but United States dropped the claim.

TIGER ISLAND

  • The mountain type is stratovolcano
  • Ampala is part of the tiger islands and has a population of 9,687.
  • The last volcanic eruption has been unknown.

  • It used to be known as Yara river.
  • The length of the river is 466 miles.
  • The Miskito Indians are also known as the wonki.

  • According to legend it’s name is of English origin.
  • Pirates who found rat yelled more-rats! In fear wich led to the name Morat.
  • Tired of seeing mice they gave up on their raid.
