Leader - Sometimes we wonder how to pray for missionaries and other leaders we have never met.

People - So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.
Colossians 1:9 (NLT2)

Leader - Paul had never met the Colossians, but he faithfully prayed for them. His prayers teach us how to pray for others, whether we know them or not.

People - Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.
Colossians 1:10 (NLT2)

Leader - All believers have these same basic needs. When you don't know how to pray for someone, use Paul's prayer pattern for the Colossians.

People - We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, Colossians 1:11 (NLT2)

Leader - Thank God for what you have received in Christ.

People - always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. Colossians 1:12 (NLT2)

Leader - The Colossians feared the unseen forces of darkness, but Paul says that true believers have been transferred from darkness to light, from slavery to freedom, from guilt to forgiveness, and from the power of Satan to the power of God.

People - For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, Colossians 1:13 (NLT2)

Leader - We have been rescued from a rebel kingdom to serve the rightful King. Our conduct should reflect our new allegiance

People - who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.
Colossians 1:14 (NLT2)

Jesus, lover of my soul
Jesus, I will never let You go
You've taken me from the miry clay
You've set my feet upon the rock
And now I know
I love you ,I need you
Though my world may fall
I'll never let You go
My Savior ,My closest Friend
I will worship You until the very end

Lord prepare me, to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true
And with thanksgiving, I'll be a living, sanctuary, oh for you

LOVING WITH OUR PRAYER

“What the Church needs today is not more or better machinery, not new organizations or more and novel methods, but men whom the Holy Ghost can use—men of prayer, men mighty in prayer. The Holy Ghost does not flow through methods, but through men. He does not come on machinery, but on men. He does not anoint plans, but men—men of prayer.”
– E. M. Bounds

“The man who mobilizes the Christian church to pray will make the greatest contribution to world evangelization in history.” – Andrew Murray

“The greatest thing anyone can do for God and man is pray. It is not the only thing, but it is the chief thing. The great people of earth are the people who pray. I do not mean those who talk about prayer; nor those who say they believe in prayer; nor yet those who can explain about prayer; but I mean those people who take time to pray.” – S. D. Gordon

So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins. – Colossians 1:9-14

1. OUR PRAYERS MUST BE CONSTANT
"Prayer pulls the rope down below and the great bell rings above in the ears of God. Some scarcely stir the bell, for they pray so languidly; others give only an occasional jerk at the rope. But he who communicates with heaven is the man who grasps the rope boldly and pulls continuously with all his might."
– C.H. Spurgeon

"The one concern of the devil is to keep Christians from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work and prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but he trembles when we pray."
– Samuel Chadwick

"I would rather teach one man to pray than 10 men to preach."
– Charles Spurgeon

Where he leads me I will follow,
where he leads me I will follow,
where he leads me I will follow;
I'll go with him, with him all the way.

Lord, I will lift mine eyes to the hills

Knowing my help is coming from You

Your peace, You give me in time of the storm

You are the source of my strength

You are the strength of my life

I lift my hands in total praise to you

You are the source of my strength

You are the strength of my life

I lift my hands in total praise to you

Amen
