CBI USE OF POLYGRAPH
- CBI uses polygraphs for various purposes, including screening job applicants, investigating crimes, interrogating suspects, and for internal affairs investigations

- The polygraph is used to assess honesty, integrity, and potentially gather information that might otherwise be difficult to obtain

- To assess the honesty and integrity of potential law enforcement officers and other personnel who will have access to sensitive information

LIMITATIONS AND ADMISSIBILITY
NOT INFALLIBLE
- Polygraph tests are not foolproof
- Accuracy can be affected by examiner skill, countermeasures and the individual’s physiology
COURT ADMISSIBILITY
- Polygraph tests are not admissible in Colorado Courts
- The pre and post polygraph interviews ARE admissible in court
