The Sun rotates on its axis just like the Moon and Earth. The middle of the Sun actually rotates faster than the areas at the poles.

The Sun doesn’t move in the sky, the Earth rotates on its axis.

As Earth rotates on its axis, only one side of it is facing the Sun. The side facing the Sun is experiencing daylight while the opposite side is dark (night).
