Growth Of Industrial Prosperity

power loom- Edmund Cartwright invented the power loom in 1785. It dramatically changed the way cloth was woven by making it much easier. It would take almost another fifty years and several alterations by other inventors before it would become commonly used. The power loom improved some peoples lives because it brought many kids and woman to the work place.

Telephone- Alexander Graham Bell is best known for his invention of the telephone. The invention of the Telephone came as a result of Thomas Watson trying to reactivate a telephone transmitter. After seeing this Bell (or should we say hearing this) he believed he
could send a human voice over a wire. The telephone improved peoples lives because The telephone made it possible for people to communicate with each other in an efficient manner. It also made it much more convenient for businesses and people to conduct their affairs

Sewing Machine- Elias Howe created the sewing machine in 1844. This forever changed the way clothes were made and allowed the mass production of clothing. Before this it was most common for women to make all of the clothes for their families.

Only the very wealthy could afford to have a tailor or seamstress make custom clothing of the latest fashion. The sewing machine improved peoples lives because In some way the women working with the machines gained a new skill, and were seen as important for the industry. The sewing machine allowed clothing to become a mass produced item which increased the social acceptance of the sewing machine. In some way the women working with the machines gained a new skill, and were seen as important for the industry. Telegraph- Samuel F. B. Morse created the telegraph in 1836. This invention changed the face of communication. Instant communication became possible between the east and west coasts and allowed people to know what was happening almost
as it happened. This would revolutionize media and personal communication. The telegraph improved peoples lives because Before the invention, information had to be send by horses, boats, trains, and any other transportation. This would take very long and it was ineffective for a lot of train stations. If a locomotive had to abort a departure than the communication would take a long time and it was usually by horses. After the telegraph was made this helped the train station be more effective by knowing exactly when the trains would go to which station. This made the stations much more smoother and have more departures and less waiting time for the people boarding on to them. Usually the telegraph wires were along with the railroads.

In my opinion i think that the telephone was the most significant to the world because people still use it today and if it was not for the telephone we would have to send letters. In my opinion it would be very hard.
