Girl Crazy is a 1930 musical with music by George Gershwin,and lyrics by Ira Gershwin. It was a western themed comedy musical. Involving a dude ranch and broadway show girls.
The musical is about Danny Churchill (Allen Kearns),has been sent to Custerville, Arizona, to manage his family's ranch. Danny turns his family's place into a dude ranch, importing showgirls from Broadway and hiring Kate Forthergill (played by Merman) an entertainer. visitors come from both coasts to the ranch and Danny falls in love with Molly Gray (Ginger Rogers).
