Mana island is off

the south west of north island

There are lots of birds on

Mana island such as Takahe and kiwi

A lighthouse was built

to the north in 1863. 

The Vella family lived in station road in Paremata, They farmed sheep in 1886 until 1953

by Maori from the 14th century

and they were going to take over land

Mana Island is 3km long and is 0.84 squared metres
