  • A lady stabbed Martin Luther King at a book signing but it did not kill him

  • Martin Luther King, Jr. was born at noon Tuesday, January 15, 1929, at the family home, 501 Auburn Avenue, N.E., Atlanta, Georgia
  • Older sister willie Christine King and a younger brother named Alfred Daniel Williams King
  • Parents were Alberta Williams King and Martin Luther King Sr.

CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT

  • The civil rights movement was the movement that gave blacks rights
  • Other leaders of the civil rights movement believed in violence
  • Martin Luther King would skip violence in any way he could

SEGREGATION

  • Segregation is the separation of humans into racial groups

  • If a black person went into a white diner they could be kicked out or even arrested
