PUTTING ON AN ELIZABTHIAN OUTFIT (in order)
1. Smock: first thing a women put on, protected clothing from sweat an boy oils (LEED)
2. Stockings: put on after smock, went up to just above their knees (LEED)
3. Corset: not always worn, close-fitting bodices stiffened with whalebone & made women appear thinner(LEED)
4. Spanish Farthingdale: cone shaped hood skirts that created an A-line shape. (LEED)
5. Bumroll: placed right above hips to help spring out skirts. Not always worn. (LEED)

6. Petticoat: placed under Spanish Farthingdale (LEED)
7. Kirtle and Forepart: seperate skirts worn under Spanish Farthingdale.(LEED)
8. Partlet: Special shirt worn under gown, usually has ruffled collar and puffy sleeves. (LEED)
9. Gown and Sleeves: While putting this on, women had to make sure the Parlet was
evenly tucked around the collar of the gown (LEED)

Facts on Elizabethian Outifts
Not all Women wore the same thing, what they wore depended on their age.
Putting on an upperclass gown was a very complicated process.
