  • Most common in sunburns
  • Generally heal in two to three days

2ND DEGREE

  • Occurs in the upper region of the dermis
  • Blisters appear
  • Causes most discomfort
4.

3RD DEGREE

  • Destroy the nerve endings
  • Burned area appears grayish black or white
  • Skin grafting must be done.
