Alignment
My definition: alignment is the way we organise things to keep the design in order.
In the picture, the pencils are all lined up on the right side.

Repetion
My definition: repetition is repeating something in the design such as an element or picture.
In the picture, the tiles are repetitive.

Balance
My definition: balance is keeping everything level so that the design looks well-structured and equal.
In the picture, the two objects are on opposite sides of the picture, making it symmetrical.

Contrast
My definition: contrast is making things look different so nothing blends in or clashes.
In the picture, the white flower doesn't blend in nor clash with the green background.

Proximity
My definition: proximity is the space between and the relationships of the different elements in the design.
In the picture, the dictionary is in close proximity with the stationary holder.

Space
My definition: the space one uses and making sure the design is not overcrowded or empty.
In the picture, the words aren't squished together and there is white space between and around them.
