Plot The plot of this book is that two Littles, Lucy and Tom, find a secret room where they find their grandpa's notes and blueprints of a submarine. Since their grandpa was missing they assumed that he went down the brook in the submarine. The Little family found a toy boat that they used as a vessel that could take them down the brook in search of Grandpa. They ran into different families of tiny people on their search, whom told the Littles that they saw Grandpa Little. The Little family kept on going down the brook until a storm made them crash their boat on an island. On that island the Littles were very scared until they heard a familiar voice. "Is anyone there?" Said Grandpa. The Little family was so glad that they found Grandpa Little.
Conflict One of the many conflicts in this book is when it is storming out and the Littles needed to brace themselves. The conflict was person vs. nature. People in this conflict are the people on the boat.
Theme The theme of this book is "Never give up!". I think this is the tone because the Littles took a huge risk trying to find Grandpa little. Even though most of the Littles thought their grandpa was dead, they still went out searching for him.
