• The original show was based off of a group of individuals who, through evolution had obtained supernatural powers
• The story revolves around these people and their struggle to survive

The show drew in its viewers by not only extensive advertising but spread by word of mouth. Heroes was both suspenseful and thought provoking leading viewers to refer others to watch

The Add

• The super bowl add was a short preview to a miniseries that NBC would soon be releasing
• The add came with no warning and caught many Heroes fans, like myself's, attention
• The Miniseries is Titled Heroes Reborn

Drawing factors

• The characters showcased in the add were very carefully chosen
• The first one, the girl, was given a power which has an obvious and imediatly recognizable yet controversial effect on the world
• Questions are being asked about whether the girl only controls the lights or controls magnetism or whatever else.

• The second character shown in the video is an old and recognizable character known as "the man in the horn rimed glasses" or Noah Bennet
• In the first series he is presented as the villin however after the first season he becomes more of a good guy with moments of darkness
• This links the show back to the first on and really draws in the fans of the show.

Third Character

• The third character is new as well and is presented with a mysterious role of watching Noah
• This draws fans in even more by adding more complexity with Noah not having any powers why would the mysterious man be following him?

Sense

• Yes
• This makes perfect sense to show during the superbowl
• Because people all around the US who had been waiting for closure on the original show

Aim

• This was aimed at all the people who watched the original show
• most of these people would be families who had watched the original shows together

Purpose

• The Purpose was to advertise the new show and catch all the old fans off guard

Funding for the Add

• NBC showed the super bowl
• They were also paid for all of the comercials put in the show, except for this one
• This comercial showed for free because it was advertising a show that would be on NBC and so didnt have to pay itself to show
