Sigmund Freud believed that all children are born with powerful sexual and aggressive urges. (pg.82)

The first stage is called the oral stage. Baby finds pleasure from the mouth.

The second stage is called the anal stage. Infant finds pleasure on functions of elimination.

The third stage is the phallic stage. Baby finds pleasure from their genitals.

The fourth stage is the latency stage. Sexual thoughts arise and child is trying to find who they are.

The fifth and final stage is the genital stage. Sexual desires occur and child seeks relationships.
