Technology Access for adult ESOL students in Frederick County

My experience is that all students have phones, most have internet access on phone, and a few more than half have internet on a home computer.

Our activities are generally low tech. However, we use several sites that are available on cell phones.

These sites include Google images, Google maps and Google translate.

In the event a student does not have a cell that connects to the internet, they could share. However, this has not happened yet.

Additionally, as a teacher I have a computer that can project the internet sites onto a screen for all to see.

Our school and public library has computers available to access the internet at no cost.

For these reasons, I have not seen a student deficit due to lack of access to technology. I have not witnessed first hand any digital divide in Frederick County.
