In the 1800's you did not have to worry about makeup
Girls wore corsets

Children as young as 6 or 8 years old might work at a mill or a factory
Boys jobs: Cutting, splitting, or carrying firewood, tending to the farm animals
Carrying water to the house, providing food for the family

Girls jobs: Cooking, Milking cows or goats, collecting eggs churning butter
Making breads and cheeses, preserving foods, cleaning, laundry, candle making
Spinning wool or flax, caring for siblings, and helping elderly family members

Children would also run errands, make deliveries for store keepers
They may be apprenticed to a skilled craftsman
And they also could be sold out as a servant
Jobs mostly for an adult were coopers, blacksmiths, and beekeepers

Homes were first made of logs or lumber
Homes were turned to brick when brick was available in 1880
Schools and churches were valued in the 1800's

The 1800's are also famous for Lewis and Clark's expedition
They were accompanied by Captain Lewis's dog Seaman
Seaman was well known throughout history for saving their lives many times
