AGRICULTURAL ADJUSTMENT ADMINISTRATION (AAA)

(AAA) ESTABLISHED ON:

PURPOSE

• The new agency was tasked with the aim of raising falling prices through artificially reduced supply.
• This regulation mandated destroying some existing crops. Induce farmers to willingly limit their production .
• It Induced farmers to willingly limit their production.

WHO DID IT AFFECT?

• It affected farmers because they continued to produce more food than could be consumed, and prices began to fall.

NOT SUCCESFUL

• The Supreme Court eventually found the tax used to generate income.

AROUND TODAY

• A new AAA was built and created in 1938.
• It's now used for when a new farm law is passed.
