SPECIAL ACTION GROUPS

OLIVIA GARRISON

What are they?
The special action groups are like groups of nazis that would go from house to house and they would take any jews they could find and they would first take their valubles and then kill them in a ditch. They werre other known as Einsatzgruppen. On September 21, 1941, the eve of the Jewish New Year, a mobile killing squad entered Ejszyszki, a small town in what is now Lithuania. Fun fact: At Babi Yar, near Kiev, about 34,000 Jews were murdered in two days of shooting.

Special action trucks
Eventually the nazis developed a van/truck thing and they would put jews in the back and relese a toxic gas so they would die. The executioners were "ordinary" men who followed the orders of their commanding officers. Most people think that those people were nazis.
