Weather VS climate Weather pertains to occurrences from hour to hour, day today,in a specific location. Climate pertains to average weather over an extended period of time,in a specific region or on a larger scale. The difference between them is weather and climate is a measure of time
Air pressure Weather forecasters measure air pressure with a barometer. High pressure is caused by cooler temperature and clear skies. Low pressure is caused by warmer weather, storms, and rain.
Humidity Humidity is the amount of moisture in the air. It is what percentage of the maximum vapor pressure has been reached. It is the exact physical amount of water in the air.
Air masses It is a convenient to think the lower atmosphere,or troposphere, as one uniform and consistent mass of air. They have to be horizontally across the landscape, they can extend for several miles,on km,upward in altitude, extending high into the atmosphere.
Fronts It is when a border forms between two clashing air masses as they rub together. It means a front bringing in cold air mass. Fronts that bring warm air.
Severe weather Hurricanes are formed by gathering heat and energy through contact with warm ocean waters. They form from thunder storms. One is tornadoes, thunderstorms, hurricanes, and winter storms.
