Monumental architecture is old buildings buildings that the architect had build or construct.

EXAMPLES OF MONUMENTAL ARCHITECTURE

  • Timber
  • Rammed earth walls
  • Gaoyi Que
  • Famen Temple

They are located in Gansu province. Gao Yi in Ya'an, Sichuan province China.

They still exist some are ruined but they still manage to still be up to due the material it was build from. The purpose of these buildings are that they were the oldest famous buildings, some had symbols, writings, & Buddhism.

Is the Famen Temple because Buddhism spread and it was a place where you can worship to Buddha.

  • Qanling Mausoleum
  • Buddhist Shrines Taku

They are located in Korea, Vietnam, Japan, Shaanxi province China, Luoyang Henan provine China.

They still exist its one of the most famous buildings. Purpose of the buildings are that they are we'll know tomb of earlier dynasties. Some were the royal Li family complex house & Buddhism.

The Qianling Mausoleum was a complex house that remains members of the royal Li family.

Han Dynasty and Tang and Song Dynasty monumental structure are the same. Because Goayi Que, Rammed earth Great Wall and Xumi pagoda are made from stone, brick and clay. The Famen Temple and the Buddhist cave shrine are the same both dynasties are buddhism religion. A difference is that timber it is used for grand palace halls. And the tombs of mausoleum is a house of the remains of the royal Li family.

The purpose of both monumental architectures are that there were different kinds of buildings including watchtowers, palaces, temples and stone houses. The architects began to experiment with more complicated roofs, using gables and overhanging evaces. They experiment with building baked brick. There were also Buddhist temples.
