Why did I choose AFL?
One of the reasons why I chose AFL was because it's a sport that a lot of Australians play and it also originated here so it makes me want to play it more because it's an Australian game. Another reason why I chose this topic is because I love playing AFL with my friends.

Facts about AFL
AFL has been around since the 1850s. It is now one of the most played sports in Australia. When AFL was first made, the game would finish when one of the teams would score two goals.
Interview about buddy franklin moving to the swans.
Franklin says he was surprised and embarrassed by the amount of media attention he received after arriving in his new home town.
“It was difficult on my partner (Jesinta Campbell), my family and the football club because they probably hadn’t experienced it before. There were things that were written that weren’t true, pictures that were not right.
“It felt a bit out of control. I didn’t know anyone in the media or many people at the club, so that was difficult. But in saying that it comes with the territory and there is not much you can really do about it.’’
Franklin says it is no coincidence he is playing good football now that he is more content off the field.
“For the last two months I’ve felt comfortable and more relaxed with building relationships with blokes around the club and the staff and the admin,’’ says Franklin. ‘’I think that’s works hand in hand with my football. I’m happy off the field and happy on it.’’
