Definition:
An analogy makes comparisons or shows relationships between sets of words, objects, or figures

THREE STEP METHOD:
Step 1: build a bridge sentence
Step 2: use the bridge sentence with each analogy
Step 3: if not sure about, answer adjust the bridge sentence

Function:
What it is used for or it's purpose
EXAMPLE: crayon:draw::phone:talk

Degree:
Different levels of something
EXAMPLE:cute:adorable::

Lacking:
You are missing something
EXAMPLE:

Characteristic:
What it is supposed to do
EXAMPLE-

Gives meaning or explanation
EXAMPLE:

Explains a category
