What to Do

• Learn to control your nerves.
• Have breathing exercises to focus on
• Don't compare yourself to others.
• Learn meditation mantras.

If Asked to Cold Read

• Read for understanding
• Make bold character choices
• Act confident. 
• Do your best and leave it at the door.

On Nerves

• Don't use nerves as an excuse.
• Don't let on how scared you are.
• Smile, go on stage, do your best.
• Don't give the director a reason to second guess you.
• Don't be that guy -->

Know:

• Casting is not personal
• It's not always a reflection of talent
• Many many factors go into casting
• (roles, conflicts, etc) 

The Aftermath

• Reflect on the following: 
• I got the part I want.
• I got the part but my friend didn't.
• I didn't get cast. :(
• I got a part but it isn't the one I want.

While Waiting...

• Just know you did your best.
• Consider doing tech.
• No actor gets every part.
• There's always the next show.
