AMPHIBIANS

Amphibians spend their lives on land and in water.

They are cold blooded and have to adjust their surrounding to maintain body temperature.

Amphibians hatch from eggs with gills that help them breathe underwater.

They then transform into adult form and develop lungs and legs.

Most amphibians are small.

So to protect themselves some use camouflage, while others secrete poison out of their skin.

Amphibians live in and around water ecosystems.

They eat mostly plants and small insects.

Some even hibernate under water.
