My Connection.
When Parvana is brave, it reminds me of the time when I had my violin audition. I was really nervous, but I knew I had to be brave. I told myself I was capable of doing it.
🎻

Nooria is bossy.
Bossy: Fond of giving people orders.
😀

Quote: "You will rest better when your work is done. Now go. The water tank is almost empty."

My connection.
When Nooria is bossy, it reminds me of how bossy I am to my younger brother, which always makes him annoyed. It is just like how Parvana gets annoyed by Nooria's bossiness.
😏

Maryam is kind.
Kind: Having a friendly, generous, and a warm hearted nature.

Quote: "Maryam kept stroking her hair until she realized who it was. She and Maryam clung to each other, trembling."

πŸ‘

My connection.
When Maryam is kind to Parvana, it reminds me how my mom is always kind to me, even in frustrating times. Parvana and Maryam are frustrated about the war in Afghanistan but they always respect each other.

Quote: "Don't bother, Nooria. I will not walk around my own city with a note pinned to my burqa as if I were a kindergarten child."

My connection.
When Mother is disobedient towards the laws enforced by the Taliban, it reminds me of how I don't follow rules I don't like. Mother thinks that she's too good for the Taliban's orders, and that's how I feel when I receive commands that I shouldn't be getting.
πŸ˜‘

The Taliban are unfair.
Unfair: Not based on the principles of equality.
😞

Quote: "The Taliban had ordered all girls and women to stay inside their homes. They even forbade girls to go to school."

My connection.
When the Taliban are so unfair all the time, it reminds me of how unfair my brother can be. He always steals and lies, but gets away with it just because of his age. My brother says he's ONLY 9, even though he's only 2 years younger than me. It really annoys me, just like how the Taliban's unfairness annoys all the females.
