MISSION STAMENT

  • Our mission is to help clear the air from harmful gases that come
  • From landfills. We will accomplish this with our product that traps
  • The gases in a large balloon to lower the increasing amount of air pollution.

CAUSING THE ISSUE

  • Landfills in New York are as big as the pyramids in Egypt.
  • There are 168 incinerators in operation in the U.S. ,burning about 13 percent of waste.
  • Every 100 tons of incinerated garbage is 30 tons of ash, which must be disposed in landfills.
  • Nearly half of all ash from solid-waste incinerators is contaminated with toxic heavy metals.
  • Existing landfills are dangerous because they release pollutants such as Methane.

EFFECTS OF THIS ISSUE

  • The best hope for reducing landfills lies in recycling and other programs.
  • Even improved recycling won't help New York with landfill overload for the foreseeable future.
  • As a greenhouse gas, methane ranks most common toxic gas next to carbon dioxide.
  • Methane levels, have more than doubled since 1750 largely due to human activity.
  • Methane gas is believed to be one cause of global warming.

WHERE DOES THIS EFFECT

  • Pollution effects all country's that use landfills.
  • Japan, France, Russia and the U.S. are some of the most polluted country's in the world.
  • Because of Methane and other toxic gases thick smog is created in big city's.
  • This effects people too. Since the air you breath if toxic it effects your health.

OUR SOLUTION

  • Our solution is to create balloon that is large enough to capture
  • the dangerous gases that come from the landfill.
  • This is new and innovative because it will stop the gases from creating air pollution.
  • The strength is that there will be less air pollution and there will be a larger amount
  • of methane to use for electricity or other things.

  • Demographics of someone interested in this product would be someone in
  • charge of a city, like a mayor, who's job is to have what's best for the city
  • Psychographics of this person would be, they care about the environment and there city
  • The geographies of this person would be, someone who lives in a polluted city and
  • has a big population.

CREATING AWARNESS

  • Our message is, Call CleanAir today to keep the toxic air away.
  • Medium: We will introduce to pollution problem everyone knows about, take about
  • some of the facts that we had , introduce our product and give reasons why you should have it.
  • This is a good message because it explains what you need to know but not to much for a
  • slogan, this is a good medium because the commercial tells you all the details that the slogan doesn't.

COMPETITION

  • Green Works (Clorox) and GAIAM are two company's that make non toxic cleaning supplies.
  • Strength, Green works and GAIAM create eco friendly products that people need and make
  • it recycle able, weakness, not making a new product to solve a new problem.
  • We are better because we are solving a new environmental problem and will
  • make new uses out of different gases.
