• She can have a ghostly face with eyes that stare into your soul
• Some stories say that she has a horse face

• Men are drawn to her fantastical silhouette
• She speaks words to theses men that cause insanity

La Carretanagua

• La Carretanagua is considered the embodiment of Nicaraguan folklore and mythology.
• The story of La Carretanagua is based on caravans of Spaniards
• As the oxen carts moved through the land, the Spaniards would plunder the Indian settlements.
• They captured slaves and left death in their wake.

• Legend states that La Carretanagua makes his way through towns at about 1 am
• He makes a racket while his ancient oxen pull his cart.

• People who see him in the night find that someone in town has died
• His cart cannot turn and moves in a straight line
• He simply disappears when he hits a wall

• There is a white cadejo
• And there is a black cadejo

• The white cadejo appears as a big white dog
• The white cadejo accompanies drunks and people who walk home late
• He walks with them and leaves when they get home
• At sunrise, it walks into the horizon and disappears until the next night
• The white cadejo is considered to be a good spirit

• It try's to kill people who walk at night
• He attacks but does not bite
• If he leaves you alive, you end up dumb
