GOAL SETTING, WANTS, NEEDS

GOAL SETTING

  • Short term goal: Can be accomplished in 1 year.
  • My short term goal is to raise my GPA score.
  • How to complete: do good on homework and tests.

GOAL SETTING CONT.

  • Long term goal: Can be accomplished in more than 1 year.
  • My long term goal is to find my mom.
  • I'm supposed to wait until I'm 18 to look for her.
  • I will try to get adoption records, court papers, medical records, her job
  • application, school records, or even try to contact her parents

WANTS

  • Want: something unnecessary but desired
  • Examples of wants: tv, a car, or a phone
  • My wants: a cellphone so I can listen to music,
  • watch netflix, and talk to my friends

NEEDS

  • Need: something necessary or required for life
  • Examples of needs: food, clothes, water, and shelter
  • My needs: I obviously need food and water so I can live.
  • Clothes is definitely a need because you can't just walk
  • around naked. And a house because it keeps me warm.

VALUES

  • Values: something that is desirable, worthwhile, and important
  • Examples of values: religious views/beliefs, and moral
  • My values: morals because I don't want to become
  • untrustworthy, dishonest, alone and lonely, or unhappy
