PRESENTATION OUTLINE

MAGNETIC SPACE BUBBLES

  • What has NASA found?
  • Why are these bubbles there?
  • Why is this important?
  • How did NASA find this?

They have found magnetic
space bubbles that are shaped like sausages more then 100 million miles away.

The scientists believe that they form at the edge of our solar system when the sun's magnetic field becomes warped.

The new findings mean that the magnetic barrier shielding our system mat be letting in more harmful cosmic rays and energetic particles than previously thought

NASA used a new computer model based on data received from its twin Voyager 1 and 2 spacecraft which are some 11 billion and 9 billion miles away
