HUMAN IMPACT

  • The people that live in the Sahara desert is made up of of the Tuareg and the Bedouin tribes, which mainly herd animals
  • Humans harm the ecosystem by drilling for oil, military testing and training, taking animal land and polluting the desert
  • People build communities by using the sand and transferring it into sandstone.

FACTS

  • The Sahara receives less than 40cm of rain a year.
  • The Sahara Desert is in northern Africa, covering 12 different countries.
  • Deserts can contain large mineral deposits.
  • The largest hot desert on Earth is the Sahara.
  • several types of hyenas are among the carnivores that roam the Sahara

HISTORY

  • The battle of Kefra was with the free French and Britain vs Italy
  • Alied victory And was in 1942 (WW2)
  • At the end of the last Ice Age, the Sahara Desert was just as dry and uninviting as it is today.
