Who was Edgar Degas?
Edgar Degas was a French artist most known for his paintings, sculptures, drawings, and prints. He especially identified with the subject of dance; more than half his work depicts dancers. He was born July 19, 1834 in Paris, France. He died September 27, 1917 in Paris, France. He was relevant during Impressionism, Modern Art, Realism, and Pastel Art.

Dancers at the Bar
I like this painting because it shows two ballerinas stretching and getting ready for either a dance recital or practice. It shows that they obviously enjoy what they do and put effort into something they love.

Musicians in the Orchestra
This one is my second favorite because it's obviously a fancy gathering. The orchestra is playing while the dancers are on stage performing. It seems like a fun night to go enjoy yourself.
