Hypothesis: If the string is longer the period of time it takes to get from one side to the other will take longer. Also if it weighs more it will go faster. So if it is short and heavier it will be the fastest it can go.
The materials we used were the iPad, ruler, pendulum, hanger and weights.
We used length and mass for our laboratory report. What we did was hung a string 40 mm long and put different weights on each time we would swing the weights to see which ones went faster or slower, what we found out is that if it weighs more it will go faster. After we did that we used the same weight each time but we used different lengths of string when we would swing it to see which would go faster or slower.
Our hypothesis was correct, if it is shorter it will go faster than it will if its longer. And it will go even faster if it weighs more. The errors we found were that if the string was longer it was harder to swing because it got in the way and hit thing because it was to long.
The time differences for both tables were a lot different, there were no measurements that were the same they all had different speeds for the most part.
