What treatment is used the most?

  • There are a lot of treatments for cancer it just depends on your stage. You can have surgery done, radiation therapy, cryosurgery, hormone therapy, chemotherapy, etc.

How many types of treatments are there?

  • There is lots of treatments including the ones that I listed on to. It all just depends on the on the type of cancer a person has and what they think is the best for them.

Do most treatments work?

  • Sometimes when the cancer is just too big it’s impossible to try a new treatment. There are other treatments that just don’t stop the cancer they can make it smaller but it doesn’t stop it.

How many people have survived?

  • In January of 2014 there were 6,876,600 male survivors and 7,607,230 female survivors

Can treatment make the cancer spread?

  • Cancer can spread when it is exposed to air in a surgery. Sometimes there is more cancer when the doctor opens the patients up then there is on x ray but that is because it grew in a short period of time and needs to be treated really quick

What is the worst type cancer?

  • The worst cancer is lung and bronchus. Killing 72,220 women and 87,260 men.

What age does cancer affect more?

  • A third of cancer is diagnosed at the age of 75. 1 in 35 men and 1 in 20 women.

  • Smoking
  • Second hand smoke
