NATIVE AMERICANS

  • woodlands-The woodland were indians who lived n ohio and the mississippi river valleys.They lived in smaill villages and there diet was cultivated plants.the men made weapons and the women tended to the gardan.
  • Catawba-The Catawba lived along the banks of the Catawba river years.They had a large council house for meetings,games,and dances.They traded with European settlers.The warriors of the Catawba tribe were known as the most fiercest in the land.

NATIVE AMERICANS

  • Cherokee-The Cherokee people were hunters and farmers who grew the staple crops of corns,beans,and squash.They hunted rabbit,wild hogs,turkey,raccoon,squirrel, and deer.Men wore deer skins and dark fabric and women wore knee length wraparound also so made from deer skin.
  • Yemassee-they were from Spanish Florida but later moved to South Carolina to escape the the Spanish governor.during the summer they lived on the beach in wigwams.clams and oysters were part of there diet.

SPANISH

  • They built cities and established universities.they continued there search for gold to clam there land in North America.
  • they made missions along the pacific coast to enhance there clam to the area.

FRENCH

  • Christopher Columbus made one of the most famous voyages of exploration in 1942.
  • Some accomplishments that the French had was rights to property was declared,workers acquired rights and liberties declared in writing.

ENGLISH

  • All the English settlers brought their culture over including their language,Protestant religions and ideas of self government.
  • English explorers sailed along the coast of North America
  • Some settlers was attached because of the hope of discovering gold.

AFRICANS

  • They were important because they can easily plant thing that were not easy to plant.
  • The African slaves were ship in a boat through the middle passage.
  • The large scale of the slaves came in the 1690's.
  • They had to work for a lifetime with pay but every once I a while the slave owner will give them food.

AFRICAN

  • They were known as property so that meant that the slave owners could do what they won't and never get took to court for it.
  • The slaves out numbered the whites by a lot.
  • The stono rebellion increased the concern of the slave owners.
  • The slaves came directly from west Africa not any other place.

ECONOMY

  • Barbados established a thriving trade with the Caribbean's island.
  • South Carolina natural resource included abundant deer that could be hunted for its skin and pine forest to harvest.

GOVERMENT

  • A representative government is a type of government comprised of politicians who represent certain individuals or groups.
  • A proprietary regime is a set of rules, norms, and institutions that determine how government is constituted, how organized, and how its major decisions are made.
  • A royal government is a colony ruled or administered by officials appointed by and responsible to the reigning sovereign of the parent state.
  • Regulator movement was an organized effort by backcountry settlers to restore law and order and establish institutions of local government.
