WHAT ARE THE CHARACTERISTIC OF ALL KEY STAGES

  • Key stage 1 4-6 years old
  • Key stage 2 7-11 years old
  • Key stage 3 12-14 years old
  • Key stage 4 15-16 years old

THE KEY STAGES IN THE THE OTHER HOME COUNTRIES

  • England and northern island have the same assessment system
  • However they are a year later.
  • Scotland and a different system which includes 7 levels instead of our 4
  • Wales also have a different system with 6 levels

HOW ARE CHILDREN ASSESSED IN KEY STAGE 4

  • You are assessed through obersivation
  • aswell as through doing exams

WHAT LOCAL SCHOOL PROVIDED FOR CHILDREN AT KEY STAGE 4 PE

  • Most school provide extra curriculum PE
  • Example of these are football,rugby and netball
  • A school which does this is angmering high school

  • The example is graveny school
  • "This is an outstanding Pe department that displays excellent standard
  • Of both teaching and learning throughout" said an Ofsed

OUR PE POLICY IF WE WERE HEAD OF A SCHOOL

  • Our policy would be for children to try new sport
  • New sports and unusual such as rowing or paddle boarding
  • Improves technique which develops skills
