MALARIA

  • Malaria is one of the many protists that cause disease.
  • Malaria belongs to the plasmodium genus
  • It is often carried by female mosquitoes and through them the disease enters red blood cells.
  • They multiply and spread then eventually disease the person.

GIARDIASIS

  • Caused by the disease Giardia lambila, it causes diarrhea.
  • It is infectious and is spread by touch.
  • You can get Giardiasis through a non- hygienic lifestyle.

CHAGAS DISEASE

  • Spread by assassin bugs.
  • Spread by bugs that kill and eat assassin bugs.
  • If you are bit, you may get Chagas disease.

AMOEBIC DYSENTERY

  • Caused by Entamoeba histolytica.
  • Spread through food and water.
  • Must be disinfected after touching contaminated object.
