• They celebrate carnival before easter
• The biggest place that they celebrate it is Rio de Janeiro
• They have floats, parades, and costumes

• To prepare for the parade, they build floats
• Design costumes
• Create music
• Practice dances

CHRISTMAS IN ARGENTINA

• You will see paper balloons go into the sky
• Children receive gifts on Jan. 6th.
• January 6th is Three Kings day

CHRISTMAS IN BRAZI.

• Children get gifts from Papai Noel
• Papai Noel or Father Christmas
• Papai Noes lives in Greenland

Christmas in Columbia
The 9 days of Novena starts on December 16th. Colombian children believe that presents are brought by Baby Jesus

The children leave their shoes on the windowsill with notes to Baby Jesus in them. In the morning they are filled with noise-making noise

Many streets are closed so people may roller skate to morning church. The children leave straw out the night before Three Kings Day.
