You may not realize or think it's normal but when you tease people it can lead into harassment and abuse👊🏿👊🏻👊🏽 You may not realize it but it can lead to self harm and suicide

Half of the youth who have been victims of dating violence and rape attempt suicide compared to the 12.5% of non-abused girls and 5.4% of non-abused boys 👱🏿👸🏿

People who are being verbally abused are constantly being criticized and manipulated by their partner🔪🔫 A popular form of this is people's partners threading to post inappropriate pictures of their partners 📲

Among female victims and of intimate partner violence, 94% of those age 16-19 and 70% of those ages 20-24 were victimized by a current or former boyfriend or girlfriend👮🏽

THE ISSUE 👹

One in ten high school students have been purposely hit, slapped or hurt by their partner 👊🏽👋🏿✌🏽

Dating violence can also have negative affects on health. For example victims are more likely to use drugs and alcohol, have depression , anxiety and even suicidal thoughts 🍩🚫🔪🔫

NATIONAL🇺🇸

A lot of parents lack awareness to teen dating violence. 81% of parents believe teen dating violence is not a issue and admit they don't know if it is. 58 % of parents could not even correctly identify the warning signs of of abuse ⛽️🚁
