  • The Andes is 5,500 miles long.
  • They are closest to the Pacific Ocean.
  • They are on the west of South America.
  • They start in Venezuela
  • They end at the bottom of Chile

  • Starting in Venezuela
  • Through Columbia,
  • Ecuador and Peru
  • And ends in Chile

  • Climate changes with elevation
  • There are four climates
  • Tierra helada(frozen), Tierra fria(cold)
  • Tierra templada (temperate)
  • Tierra calientre (hot)

AMAZON RIVER

AMAZON RIVER

  • It carries 1/5 of earths river water
  • It's about 4,000 miles long
  • It flows from the Andes to the Atlantic Ocean
  • It's drains much of Brazil and Peru
  • It's the largest of the 5large river systems

THE CITIES

  • The river goes through about 7 cities
  • Start: Brazil, Colombia
  • Peru, Paraguay,
  • Bolivia, Uruguay,
  • Ending: Argentina

VEGETATION

  • The climate is hot and wet
  • Humidity makes it even hotter
  • It is a fairly constant 80degrees
  • It gets 50-175 inches of rainfall
  • It has the richest collection of life

LLANOS

  • It's a wide grassland
  • It spreads Colombia and Venezuela
  • There, cattle ranches are common
  • Farms are also common there
