ACORNS WERE AN IMPORTANT STAPLE FOOD FOR THE LUISEÑOS.

AFTER THE LUISENOS GATHERED ALL THE ACORNS,

THEY STORED THEM IN GRANARIES.

THE LUISEÑOS USED A HAMMER STONE

TO TAKE OFF THE ACORN SHELL.

USED TO GRIND THE ACORNS INTO A FINE FLOWER CALLED MEAL.
