  • He was named after his birthplace, silva (latin for forest or wood).
  • Silvius was the king since he won over his brother, ascanius
  • Brutus, his son, accidently shot him in a hunting incident,
  • which killed him

  • Located in present day Italy or ancient day Latium
  • 12 miles southeast of rome
  • considered the "ager albanus" a premium wine-growing region
  • produced peperino, volcanic stone and building material
  • It was destroyed in the VIIth century BC.
