PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Ashputtle was a beautiful girl who's mom died when she was young.
Her father was rich and he remarried fast. The lady he married had two daughters who were very mean. They made Ashputtle a maid.
Ashputtles stepmom would not let Ashputtle go unless she could clean up lintels. Ashputtle called on all the birds to come help her and they did. After that the stepmom still wouldn't let her go.
Ashputtle ran outside and cried and prayed until the birds came down and brought her a beautiful golden dress and golden slippers. Ashputtle went to the ball and the prince fell immediately in love with her.
Ashputtle ran away and got back in time to change back into her gross clothes. This repeated for three days.
The third night the prince put pitch on the steps and she lost her shoe. He searched far and wide for the girl but couldn't find her. The stepsisters feet wouldn't fit but they cut off body parts to make them fit.
The doves sang "Roocoo Roocoo there's blood in the shoe, the foots too long the foots too wide, this is not the proper bride.
This happened twice until he found Ashputtle and her foot fit! They got married and the doves pecked out the stepsisters eyes.
