1080 POISON

Whats good about 1080?

• 1080 kills unwanted pests and predators to native animals.
• Saves the environment by killing possums who ruin the bush.
• 1080 kills possums, stoats and ship rats who all eat native baby animals.
• 1080 has increased breeding in native animals.
• Possums pass TB onto cattle and deer.If possums died then we would have more cattle.
• 1080 doesn't harm fish.
• 1080 is a much better way to kill pests instead of hunters of traps
• Triple predator hit is when something eats 1080 and a pest comes along and eats the carcass, causing the pest to die.

1080 POISON

• 1080 could possibly get into our water supply.
• Animals die slowly.
• There's no antidote for someone that has eaten 1080.
• 1080 kills other animals. eg. dogs, cats, deer and cows.

My thoughts about 1080?

• I think 1080 is good. It kills pests that eat the native trees. I think its a much better way to kill pests than hunting or trapping them. 1080 should be used in New Zealand because its saving our envioment.
